Ankal, many thanks for this great forum. Well done for your work.

Firstly, I would just like to say I am usually an observer of this blog and not a contributor, but this issue has been itching me all week and just had to respond.

I will try and keep it at short and as precise as possible.

This so called Mr Kamau (you had to pick the most common of Kikuyu Name Right!) For crying out loud DO NOT speak for US fellow Kenyans but speak for yourself. What you have clearly shown is that you’re a shallow minded imbecile who does not hold any credential to hold valid posts.

As Kenyan I am utterly disgusted by your unfounded remarks, all you set out to do was to create a hostile topic that does not deserve any light and time of day.

What ever Tanzania decides to do with its funds is absolutely none of our concern or any other nations; let it be its citizen’s worries, besides we all know how many billions the Kenyan Government has expertly wasted on unjustified transactions.

Wether Kenya is economically ahead from any other East African state or not, the truth of the matter is we are all in the 3rd world rankings and are all striven with poverty corruption and lack of democracy to name a few. And, of course, mindless flippant states-men. In fact Tanzanian’s Head of state is one of the very few Head of state’s in Africa who seems to have his head screwed on and governance his country with pure transparency.

Mr Tom, for your records the Kenyan Government has never claimed that Mt Kilimanjaro belongs to Kenya, if that was the case I am sure Tanzanian would have raised a law suit against that, as that is rather a serious claim. If at all this claims were coming from the marketing firms then it is understandble but if it was delivered by a minister then thats totaly not right.

The fact is Tour Operators for Kenya use Kilimanjaro as part of their package for tourists going to Masaai Mara/Tsavo of which I hope you do know is within your borders and at the end of the day your tourist sector benefits anyway on visitors to Mt Kili.

It is a well known fact that local people on grass-root level leaving on either boarder i.e. (Masaai’s) would for centuries have never known which country owned it or does indeed own it let alone the demographics of Kenya and Tanzania and just because Kenya recognises it, it does not mean we have claimed it. Those who do make such profound claims are plainly un-educated.

I can only imagine those who deal with tourism for Kenya may it be Kenyans or Europeans are only capitalising on a gem that for a long time was never exposed, and perhaps that’s an area the Tanzania Tourist Department should capitalise on as well.

It is believed that History has it that before the British Empire Era (18th century) Mt Kilimanjaro did actually belong to Kenya as the boarders were not altered by then…needless to reiterate, again that WE ALL know Mt Kili is an intergral part of Tanzania.

Ankal, as much as your blog is freedom for all I suggest in the future you do not allow this platform to be used by the likes of Mr Kama(if that’s his real name anyway) to spoil the positivity of the whole objective of such a great blog.

I stand by my criticism at all time.
Ooops I thought I would keep it short!

Kind Regards

Dear Michuzi,
I read the article by Ankal Kamau in Kenya and found time to feed my thoughts to share my views with your esteemed audience.
Thanking you in advance
Mdau Wajina

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ankal Kamau in Kenya for his thoughtful advice and his recognition that what affect Tanzanians affect Kenyans as well. I would also like to remind him that the vice versa is true, what affect Kenyans affect Tanzanians as well.

I would like to extend my warmest sympathy to the shock caused to Ankal Kamau in Kenya on the rationale and thinking of Tanzanians. Yes, it is true that the Brazil Price paid by Tanzania would be considerable chunk of money but would like to remind Ankal Kamau in Kenya that Tanzania is no longer socialist nation that would provide free medicines in hospitals.

The Brazilian Price paid by Tanzania is the price of ADVERTISING Tanzania to the world at large. Can Ankal Kamau in Kenya imagine how much Tanzania Awareness this exercise will bring? This is the rationale of the decision, TO ADVERTISE TANZANIA TO THE WORLD AT LARGE THROUGH FOOTBALL USING BRAZILIAN 2010 WORLD CUP SOCCER TEAM.

It may be reasonable to state that people cannot afford medicines but it is not they cannot get medicines and certainly the Brazilian Price would not put maternity equipment to all hospitals in Tanzania but proceeds of future income from tourism and investment would build capacity to provide the much needed equipment. Please Ankal Kamau in Kenya, this is a choice of how to invest the meagre resources Tanzania has, either to deplete them now by providing free equipped hospitals now or build capacity for future. It is an opportunity cost between now and future, Tanzanians chose to build capacity for future by advertising Tanzania through Football using Brazilian 2010 World Cup soccer team.

On modernizing our Airport, Julius K. Nyerere International Airport in Dar Es Salaam, though now more than 26 years old is more modern compared to many other African countries’ airport and it is not only comparable to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Ankal Kamau in Kenya may be have to travel to other places in Africa than Tanzania to able to appreciate the modernity of JKN International Airport in Dar despite its 26 years of service.
While I would like to consider the suggestion to modernize our airports, Ankal Kamau in Kenya would appreciate Tanzanians’ efforts to modernize our airline. With all due respect to this particular advise, Ankal Kamau in Kenya would be in a better place to advise Kenyans to modernise JK International Airport in Nairobi to cater with the success of KQ and reduce congestion at the airport particularly early mornings and evenings where it look like a market place with a daylight nightmare if one has to attend to a call of nature, toilets are dirty and congested!

I would like to take this opportunity to remind Ankal Kamau in Kenya that Tanzanians we find no offence to constructive criticism, you are welcome to air your criticism. I do not find Kenyans to be arrogant but I find some of them to be ignorant of others’ view point and thinking orientation and permit me to think loudly that Ankal Kamau in Kenya is one of those Kenyans ignorant of other view points.
There is no one unique solution to any real life problem otherwise real life problems could be reduced to simple mathematical equations and simple typical solutions arrived at and implemented unilaterally everywhere.
Tanzanians, we are taking Kenyans criticism very positively and one way is to market our country to the outside world, paying Brazilian Price is a way of implementing Kenyan's past criticism that Tanzania is not very well known to the outside world.
Ankal Kamau in Kenya would not dispute one fact: On 7th June, 2010 most of world soccer fans if not all will know that there is a country in Africa its name is Tanzania, the land of Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar. Kenya may also benefit from this by keeping advertising that Kilimanjaro is in Kenya but accessible only from Tanzania!

While one will be inclined to believe that Kenyan Police and Teachers earn decent salaries, it only leave a lot to be wondered when it is not safe to walk around a park in front of Hilton Hotel in Nairobi even during daylight. There is plenty security warnings that is not safe for guests to venture around particularly after sunset. How unsecure is purportedly safe Nairobi concrete jungle is may be the 8th Wonder of the World!

There are plenty of Kenyans masquerading as kindergarten teachers in Arusha and Dar Es Salaam that one cannot help but to wonder if Tanzanians are so poor, how do they afford to have their toddlers taught English heavily loaded with myriad of tribal accents from Kenya! It can only be safely inferred that either Tanzanians are well-off to afford foreigners for kindergarten teachers or Kenya is too poor to pay its well educated teacher workforce.

Of course, Ankal Kamau in Kenya may rejoice from the fact that Kenyans are employable in Tanzania to teach kindergarten kids and earn foreign currency from Tanzania. This is a lesson we learnt from our neighbours and we do not shy away from having expatriate English teachers from Kenya but Ankal Kamau in Kenya should keep one thing in mind, in a decade’s time there will be a lot of Tanzanians speaking English with Kenyan tribal accents that the Kenyans kindergarten English will be rendered jobless. May be Ankal Kamau in Kenya can start advising his countrymen and women to prepared to go and teach English in Somalia if by then there will be peace in your northern neighbours and a need for English teachers!

We thank Kenyans kindergarten English teachers for preparing our toddlers for a nation of English speaking workforce. If at all English speaking makes a country more developed and safer Tanzania will be one, thanks to Kenyan kindergarten English teachers. By the way, if educated policemen and teachers make a city safer, then Nairobi would have been the safest city in East Africa as it has lots of educated policemen and jobless educated youth, some of teachers, in its streets.

While Ankal Kamau in Kenya may correctly form a myopic opinion on Tanzanians bases on his experience with our brother “Rutahibwa” it may be worthwhile to him to find out how many Kenyan students in India have spent number of days in Indian jails on alcoholism and substance abuse. Ankal Kamau in Kenya may find out for himself the ratio of Tanzanians and Kenyans living in Botswana and what kind of life is lead by Kenyans as compared to Tanzanians.
Ankal Kamau in Kenya may find out for himself if he wish so as to how may Kenyans are in South African jails as compared to Tanzanians. Ankal Kamau in Kenya may find out as to what kind of menial jobs are acceptable to Kenyans in the Arab Countries, where as Tanzanians enjoys a near citizen’s status in those countries with responsible jobs as Engineers, Lawyers and Doctors!
Ankal Kamau in Kenya would not complete his advice without a typical Kenyan touch, a PINCH OF TRIBALISM! Why would it be necessary for a Tanzanian of enlighten mind on Ankal Kamau in Kenya’s scale be of a Tutsi origin or Kenyan for that matter! This kind of thinking is not arrogance, it is ignorance. Anyway, for Ankal Kamau in Kenya information’s Tanzania has a lot of people sharing same ancestry with Kenyans, Maasai and Luos as well as other nations bordering it. Tanzania has indigenous Nyasas, a tribe shared with Malawi, Manyema shared with DRC to name only a few.

Ankal Kamau in Kenya can only find insanity after knowing. Kenya would have paid Brazilian Price but certainly Ankal Kamau in Kenya would not have any clue as to how much has been paid to Brazil and there would have been no qualms at all. TFF is open to Tanzania’s Tax Payers and I am proud of them, at least I know what is announced that Brazil will receive.

Tanzanians have no doubts on what Kenyans can die for! You have proved it with your lives and disruption to civility with cheap divisive tribal oriented politics, on the aftermath of 2007 general elections. Tanzanians talk a lot and Ankal Kamau in Kenya will agree with me that talking is a privilege only to human beings in animal kingdom but shading blood on any kind of fight for survival is natural to animals. Now who will be more close to animals, the one who talks too much or the one who would shed the blood of his fellow for his own survival?

Insanity is being without sanity and Kenyans have shown the world with their deeds of December 2007 how insane they can be otherwise Ankal Kamau in Kenya would like to explain to the audience what kind of sanity prevailed in Kenya in December 2007! It may be inferred that the lack of sanity in the likes of Ankal Kamau in Kenya find the decision by TFF to invest US$ 7m to ADVERTISE TANZANIA TO THE WORLD AT LARGE THROUGH FOOTBALL USING BRAZILIAN 2010 WORLD CUP SOCCER TEAM to be insanity because their measure of sanity is near insane and that is why Ankal Kamau in Kenya would find rational human beings to be funniest creature.
To entertain thinking that a human being can be a “funniest creature” demonstrates the ignorance of the sanctity of human life and as such brings the one ignorant to the sanctity of human life very close to animals.
I would to thank Ankal Kamau in Kenya for providing food for thoughts.

Kamau is probably not even a Kenyan.
Kenyans rightfully love and admire the grace, dignity and civility of Tanzanians.
    Ignore this evil, divisive, charlatan.

    Brother Majid,

I am a Kenyan and I just want to thank you so much for speaking the truth. You tone is so respectful yet the facts are truthfully powerful. We Kenyans need to learn civilization from Tanzania. What we got from our British masters was not civilization. Rather, It was syphilisation, and you know that also causes insanity. Kamau is insane!

Most of the comments I read on PAULO KAMAU seem to be abusive so it means that there is no difference between those abusing Kenyans and "PAULO KAMAU"

    MY CONCLUSION

1."PAULO KAMAU" IS MOST PROBABLY TANZANIAN - He is very consistent in posting comments just like "US BLOGGER"
    2. PAULO KAMAU NI "MBISHI NA HAKUBALI KUSHINDWA"
    3. PAULO KAMAU MAKES ANKAL'S BLOG TO HAVE MORE HITS AND MAYBE SHOULD BE PAID - JUST A JOKE HERE.
    4. PAULO KAMAU NI "MCHONGANISHI"
    5. MOST IMPORTANTLY, ALL THOSE WHO ABUSE KENYANS OR ANY OTHER PERSON ARE THE SAME AS PAULO KAMAU - THEY ARE ALL ABUSIVE
    6. AT THIS RATE WE WILL RUN OUT OF DECENCY IN THIS BLOG.

MY QUESTION: WHERE ARE THE DECENT PEOPLE IN THIS BLOG???

  8. Thank you guys, Issa Majjid and Alexsandra, I understand from a nutshell thinking on ideas claimed by Ankal Kamau, there is no doubt that his ideas harbours provocation but probably leading us in a better way of resources allocation; we have had our resources allocation priorities earmarked in our action plans, may be including this investment on Brazil Football team, if I base on ideas which in any case it should be, rather than personalities, nationalities sentiments, he probably had his views and message sent. If at all we Tanzanians have planned in a long term basis, and in an integrated and coordinated manner with the spending of this money, referring to institutions responsible such as MNRT and TIC,and other stakeholders, I would always take criticism with positive and negativity and ideally building a positive peddling of thinking, in fact Kamau, not an attack but let me call it a challenge in place, vehemently unfolding a platform for better way of doing things. The fact that, better allocation of resources and taking time adequately enough in reaching valuable and informed decisions are key to the fast moving wheel for any metamorphosis of a developing state like ours (Tanzania). Kamau when you criticize you make us think in a better way for our nation and in future we will be strong..as we move towards political federation lets think for the people, neighbours, awake them where necessary and remind them if their decisions were backed up by the right framework to justify any implied meaning of justifying the decisions if otherwise not stated to the general public.

I stand to remain for any criticism
    For God and My country.
