The Dar es Salam Institute of Technology (DIT),
invites applications from qualifield candidates for the admission into the
institute's Masters Engineering Degree programme in Maintenance Management for
the academic year 2015/2016 scheduled to start in November 2015.
AIMS OF THE PROGRAMME
1.To provide graduate who are
technically competent to serve in the proffesion of maintenance management.
2. To meet the need for
locally-trained professional and innovate maintenance management services
engineers in consultancy, contracting, maintenance management, recearch and
development.
3. To provide an
oppoturnity for student to learn through well-designed course, the "art
and science" for providing a safe, healthy and energy-efficient built
environment impact.
4. To prove students
with interectual challenges which will enable them to further self-development
towards leadership in the maintenance services engineering profession.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The programme complimice a total of 22 Modules
(elective and core Modules) with a minimum of 180 required credits that are
spread over two semesters for course work and six months period of
dissertation. Each course Module is covered in one semester of 17 weeks. The
coursework sessions will be carried out during evening time from 04:00 pm. The
Programmeruns for a minimum of 18 months.
Minimun Entry requirements
i.Applicants must be holders of Bacholar of
Engineering degree in either of the
following areas of Engineering: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent
from accredited higher learning institution: with GPA of at least 3.0 OR
ii. Candidets with a Bachelor of Engineering
degree in either of the following engineering; Civil; Electrical; Mechanical or
equivalent from an accredited higher learning institution; with at least 2.7
GPA may be considered if they have an evidence of not less than 3 years working
experience after graduation. OR
iii. Holders of Advance Diploma in Engineering in
either of the following areas of Engineering; Civil; Electrical; Mechanical or
equivalent from an accredited higher learning institution with PASS and a
minimum of five years experience can also be considered.
