2016 – ROCKSTAR4000 have signed multiple award-winning Zambian
singer-songwriter-musician Maureen Lilanda to a global agreement. Zambia’s
leading lady of music, Maureen Lilanda and the ROCKSTAR4000 Zambia team inked
the deal during an exclusive signing session in Lusaka and will see the accomplished
Zambian recording artist release both her back catalog and highly anticipated
future master recordings exclusively through ROCKSTAR4000 worldwide.

Maureen Lupo Lilanda’s distinctive voice,
unique talent and generous spirit have secured her a place as one of Zambias
top musicians and best female artists. With a range of musical styles from jazz
to pop, Maureen blends African rhythms and flavours with sophisticated,
contemporary rhythms and influences. For the past 20 years Maureen has traveled
extensively, performing across Europe and Japan as well as regionally and has
shared the stage with ‘Black Voices’ from the UK, Zimbabwe’s ‘Oliver Mutukudzi’,
‘Jonathan Butler’ from South Africa, ‘Fra Fra’ from the Netherlands, ‘Magic
System’ from West Africa and ‘Baba Maal’ from Senegal, to name a few. Maureen has
also been a regular leading feature at the annual Livingstone Festival.
Maureen has released four albums
to date, ‘Nandayeye’, ‘Coming Home’, ‘Evolution’ and her latest album ‘Tetwe’.
She is also lead vocalist of her European band, ‘Le Banquets de Nomads’ whose
album ‘Afora’ combines Senegalese, Zambian and Belgian fusions. Maureen was
lead singer of the famous Zambian Acapela group ‘Amashiwe’, which performed at
the 1999 Livingstone Festival. Maureen has been awarded ‘Best female artiste by
the National Arts Council for an historic four times and winner of the South African
CEO Awards for the Most Influential Woman In The Arts in Zambia and the Southern
Region. Maureen is also the First female President of Zambia Association of Musicians.
