VODACOM TANZANIA APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR OF CONSUMER BUSINESS UNIT

Vodacom Tanzania’s Managing Director, Ian Ferrao is pleased to announce the appointment of Hisham Hendi as the new Director of Consumer Business Unit with effect from November 2016.

 Hisham will be leading both Marketing and Sales functions allowing Vodacom to build on its customer centric approach in the market. 

 “We brought Hisham on board due to his expertise and experience. Having worked in various other Vodacom operations in Africa and beyond, he understands the ins and outs of our commercial operations. With his leadership in the commercial area,  our customers can expect more valuable products and services that will address all their communications needs” said Ferrao.    

 Hisham has previously worked with Vodacom Tanzania supporting Vodacom’s International Business as the Managing Executive – Commercial.

Prior to this, Hisham spent 11 years working in various roles across Vodafone’s Consumer Business in Egypt including digital services in Consumer Marketing and Prepaid Sales – Consumer Marketing in 2003 and 2005 respectively. Hisham went on to work in Consumer Proposition in Partner Networks in London, UK in 2007 before moving back to Egypt in 2009 to manage Prepaid Segments and later became Head of Consumer Marketing.

Hisham holds a Bachelor Degree of Commerce from the University of Cairo, Egypt (2001).
