Our condolences

Salaam Alaikum Razabhai and family:

We are reaching out to you at one of the most difficult times of your life.

On behalf of ZIDO donors, ladies of the nudba group, Mumtaz Suleman, myself and our families, we wish to express our deepest condolences to you and your family on the sudden and tragic accident that claimed Brother Altaf’s life. 

Brother Altaf’s hard and persevering work to help the severely disabled and the very sick people including the Hydrocephalus project in Tanzania will not be forgotten and may Allah (s.w.t.) reward him abundantly Ameen. 

I remember 4 years ago, when we found 4 year little albino child Hatibu in Zanzibar, with a huge infected boil on his head. Brother Altaf took prompt action and had Hatibu admitted immediately at Muhimbili hospital where he was diagnosed with stage 4 skin cancer. Hatibu had surgery, radiation and other treatment. Today Hatibu is cured enjoying normal life because of the speed and prompt action taken by Brother Altaf.

Brother Altaf helped to facilitate surgery when the Nudba Group requested assistance for young Jumua Mubarak, who had a condition called  Hydrocephalus and Spinal Bifida Aculta.  This one surgery opened up the doors for other children with this condition and the Nudba Group was able to sponsor close to 100 such surgeries. 

We pray that Allah rest his soul in peace and in the vicinity of the Ahlul bayt (a.s.) and may Brother Altaf continue to receive reward for his hard work.

We have worked with Brother Altaf and yourself for several years and we hope to continue to work with you to help the less privileged in the coming years.
