A holy Mass was celebrated at Mandaka Primary school to pray for the seventh graders who are about to sit their final exams and to bless the kindergarten building which was completed with the assistance of EWB-USA Valparaiso chapter team in conjunction with Masaera Village Development Group and the Social Action Leadership Team of Valparaiso University .
An American Peace Corps Volunteer, Lisa Lyn Hill, resident in Mandaka Teachers College in Kilema , witnessed the event on behalf of EWB-USA. Officiating were Rev Fr Msafiri, the Mandaka Parish Priest, Ms Fika Mwakabungu, the Principal of Mandaka Teachers College, Mr Kinyaiya, the headteacher of Mandaka Primary school and Mr Canute Temu, the Director of Masaera Village Community Development Group which has been hosting EWB-USA for the last three years during which time they have rehabilitated the Masaera Irrigation Canal in Kilema, Moshi Rural District. Official inauguration of the building will be done in the near future
