Second Draw - Shinda Babkubwa na Ecobank Promo

Andrew Lyimo, Ecobank Head of Products & Marketing presenting gift voucher to one of the winners in the second draws of ‘Shinda Babkubwa na Ecobank Promo’ held on Friday 10th August, 2012 at the Uhuru Branch of Ecobank.

Excitement and joy was the atmosphere in the air at the Ecobank Uhuru Branch premises as the second set of winners received their prizes for emerging as winners in the 'Win Big with Ecobank' Campaign. This brings to 30 the number of customers who have won different categories of prizes in the Campaign.

Winners emerged from all sectors of the economy- corporate, public and NGO. This is in line with the objectives of the campaign which is to affect the lives of the Tanzanian people.

It was indeed a joyous occasion filled with felicitations and good wishes. One of the winners, Sallu Johnson, who is a quality assurance staff of Intertech International Tz Ltd, said, ' It is a game that creates awareness to the public' He adds, 'Ecobank is a good bank. I like the fact that I get information of my transactions on my phone'.

Wamba Salawa, who works in real insurance, had this to say,'I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call from my Branch Manager to say I had won a laptop. It's real'

Another winner, Benito Shayo, a_Human Resource staff of an insurance company, was just as surprised and thankful about winning. 'It's a good way of encouraging people to save'. This is one of the objectives of the promotion, to encourage the saving culture among Tanzanians.

When asked what Ecobank means to her, another winner Shamsa Akkweti, a customer service officer in Spanco, 'I am happy about the gift voucher I won. I will definitely tell other people to open account with Ecobank for them to win something like me'.

The new CEO of Ecobank Tanzania Enoch Osei is satisfied with the response the bank is getting from the public. 'The purpose of the campaign is to reach out to the people in a manner that is exciting and also endearing. The response is encouraging'

Mr Osei concluded by saying, 'The campaign is just beginning to heat up. We still have four more sets of winners to win the different categories of prizes.
