​After a studio session in 2012, James Mlanda decided to form a band, which would focus on the fusion between traditional and contemporary music. This became Jinong´ite, which means something that is fun and sweet at the same time. The group have showcased in Uganda at DOADOA together with Dbass Qanun. The group specializes in high-energy percussion based compositions that are guaranteed to make you move.

​The band, also known as Lumumba Theatre is made up of talented singers, dancers, actors, choreographers and musicians, based in Dar es Salaam. Established in 1997 by Director Dyuto Komba the group is made up of students from Lumumba Primary School, located in the heart of Dar es Salaam. To date the group has performed all over Tanzania and at festivals in Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique, and Europe.

​Mzungu Kichaa and his band Bongo Beat have created a unique style of live Bongo Flava, which has taken them around the world. Tonight Mzungu Kichaa will perform a selection of old and new songs together with his backing band Bongo Beat. The performance will also mark the launch of a new single by the artist.
