Misambwa Exhibition Opening Thursday 17 August

Mambo wapenzi wa sanaa!

Join us on Thursday 17 August at 6.30pm for the opening of Misambwa, an exhibition of sculpture by Congolese artist Agxon. Agxon creates abstract and expressive portraits with materials he collects on the shores of Lake Tanganyika.
With inspirations ranging from ancient Greek writings to 1970s funk culture, his artwork explores the complex post-independence history of Congo.
This is the first time Agxon’s work will be displayed in Tanzania – don’t miss out! You may have seen posters advertising the opening for 10 August. Unfortunately, due to unforeseeable circumstances, the date of the exhibition opening has changed from this week to next Thursday 17 August. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope to see you on the 17th!
