On the 2nd of May, 2019, the President of the University of Dar es Salaam Convocation, Ambassador Mwanaidi S. Maajar led the Convocation delegation to pay a courtesy call to one of its Prominent Alumni, the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa at his office in Dar es Salaam.
The visit was part of the efforts of the UDSM Convocation to cultivate a relationship with its Alumni a cross the world. Hon. Majaliwa is Alumnae of 1998, Bachelor of Education in Physical Education. Hon. Kassim Majaliwa advised the Convocation to establish a system where recommendations from members of the Convocation can gain authority and influence higher education transformations and in turn increase the relevance of the Convocation.
The President was accompanied by Mr. John Ulanga (Member of the Convocation Executive Committee), Dr. Lulu. T. Kaaya (Director of Internationalization, Convocation and Advancement- UDSM) and Mr. Daniel M. Stephen (Convocation Liaison Officer - UDSM).
