OVER 40 veteran tennis players are expected to mingle with junior athletes when the much anticipated Social Tennis Show kicks off this Saturday at the Kijitonyama Tennis Club.
The one day event organized purposely as a training venue for junior athletes preparing for oncoming national events, will see both age categories establish a strong networking platform with the racquet.
The event is geared to help young-stars socialize with their parents in a sporty environment, but most importantly improve the juniors score in the coming end of year events.
Just to update you, about 55 young stars aged between five and 14 are training at the Kijitonyama Tennis Club under the project ‘Tennis for Life’, and the Saturday event will be held in recognition of the part to be played by parents towards the success of this project.
Registration for the event is already underway and parents and guardians club are highly encouraged to register for the event where they will share with junior athletes what the have already learnt after months of training.
Tanzania Tennis Association (TTA) is keen towards scheduling league play and encourage the highest standard of sportsmanship at household level with the greater vision to enhance the health and well being of our community. The association acknowledges the presence of parents and guardians as the biggest stakeholders.
We therefore invite your involvement in this event as we seek to unearth tennis talents from the household level.
