Simon Osborne,the CEO of the Institute of Chartered Secretary and Administrators(ICSA) congratulating Advocate Saidi Yakubu after becoming an Associate Member of the Institute.The colourful Ceremony was held in Kampala,Uganda and was attended by graduands from Kenya,Uganda,Malawi,Zambia and Tanzania.ICSA is the membership and qualifying body for Company Secretaries and other professionals working in governance and compliance roles.
 A cross section of the 53 new qualified ICSA members.The new members hailed from 5 countries but only two were from Tanzania namely Advocate Yakubu from Parliament of Tanzania pictured far behind and Mrs Farzana Karimjee (4th from right,2nd row) who is a Manager at Deloitte.
Advocate Saidi Yakubu chatting to the President of ICSA,David Venus on the possibility of forming an ICSA Branch in Tanzania.Becoming a Chartered Secretary is a pinnacle of achievement in Governance,Risk Management and Compliance roles.There are currently only 9 members and 8 students in Tanzania and hence the country is in dire need of ICSA members.More information on ICSA can be obtained from www.ICSA.org.uk
