SAMSUNG Electronics East Africa Tanzania has today rewarded its winners for its E-warranty draw for June at its Quality Centre Brand Shop, along Pugu Road.

Samsung Electronics introduced the SMS check off point buying system dubbed E- Warranty to enable customers identify genuine Samsung phones through the phone's IMEI Number.

Samsung Electronics Account Manager Mr. Ibrahim Kombo said ‘Since the introduction of the E-Warranty system in Tanzania, the response from customers has been great. Consumers are able to know whether: the Samsung phone has a 24 month warranty or not, if the Samsung Phone has been reported missing or stolen and if the Phone is new or used’.

Draw winners walk away with 1 of 10 prizes: 1 Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1”, 3 Samsung Cameras, 1 Samsung TV 32”, 1 Samsung Home Theatre, 3 Samsung Microwaves, 1 Samsung Galaxy Grand.

To check for the authenticity of the phone, a prospective buyer simply needs to send an SMS with 'Check' followed by star(*) then IMEI number, then hush(#) button and send this to ‘15685’ a reply about the status of the Samsung phone is then automatically generated.
