The Chieftaincy of the Cameroonian community in Arusha last week changed hands from Chief Emmanuel Ntoko (left) to the now Chief Oscar Tanifum at an elaborate ceremony, as seen in the picture, held in one of suburbs of the city. Chief Ntoko retired from the post following the end of his contract with the United Nations International Criminal for Rwanda (UN-ICTR) Languages Section where he has worked for many years. Chief Tanifum is also employed by the same UN outfit and in the same section. The Cameroonian community in Arusha has drastically grown in numbers in the last 21 years with the arrival of the ICTR in Arusha.
