I read with lot of interest Mr. Maggid Mjengwa’s article entitled “Ya Loliondo Na Umma Ulio gizani”, a philosophical description of a confused society. Mr. Mujengwa depicted Tanzania as a nation that is using a flashlight in a broad day light with a notion that, perhaps, it could aid her see better. Figuratively or philosophically speaking, Socrates the philosopher used this metaphor to describe a hopeless and a confused society.
One question Mr. Mujengwa failed to address was the root cause of this confusion. How could Tanzanians be convinced that the flashlight is brighter than the sun? Is it because of ignorance, confusion or desperation?
Plato, one of the greatest philosophers to have ever lived, strongly advocated in favor of an examined life; An examination of one's life addresses fundamental questions such as: who am I, what do I want to do with my life, how will I know whether I have achieved my goals, what matters to me; wisdom; a feeling of accomplishment; wealth, power; social change or pleasure and how will I balance them. If you haven't asked yourself these questions, then life becomes meaningless. You become more like a boat in turbulent high seas without compass direction, going along with the tides and currents of the ocean. A boat that is destined for a clear tragic end of capsizing, Tanzania that is.
Tanzanians are not in control of their lives. Instead, they are controlled by the events of the day, and ignorantly perceiving flashlight to be more powerful than the sun, based on Socrates account on ignorance. As a nation, Tanzania has not asked itself these basic questions, because social-economic, hopelessness and despair amongst her people speak for itself. A sea of humanity flooding Loliondo, is a confirmation of the broken system. Her sick hopping from their hospital beds, carried in stretchers, just to have a sip of the wonder concoction is very troubling. This signifies the dying or non-existing healthcare system in Tanzania. Tanzania does not know where it is headed; it is a lost vessel sailing in the turbulent high seas without a direction, and only waiting to capsize
I must slightly differ with Mr. Mujengwa, based on my strong conviction, that, Babu Mwasapile’s patients are not uninformed, but rather hopeless, desperate, CONFUSED and poverty burdened men and women from all walks of life. Loliondo list of visitors is made up of the mighty and the powerful, the rich, the poor, scientists and herdsmen; famous and the little known peasants. Babu has received people who have made their way by selling their few worldly possessions, as well as the flamboyant tycoons arriving in style; in their private aircrafts, all with one goal; drinking the magical mixture, with hope ridding themselves of their excruciating illnesses. This is a national embarrassment, and depiction of Tanzania as a primitive and backward country in the eyes of the world
We are not talking about dumb, stupid, or simple-minded people; we are talking of brilliant and well educated individuals serving in the government, International, private and public agencies. We are talking of people who have been humbled by illnesses, and like anybody else, must heed the need to find treatment by standing in a long queue in the middle of nowhere; away from their posh homes, and comfort of their beds to find cure from the miraculous drink. We are talking of a hopeless and a desperate society on edge.
Desperation has no class, it has no social status or identity, it has no color or creed. It affects PhD holders and the illiterate alike. We must remember that, desperate and hopeless men do not value life; they have no shame or fear. Tell a man, who has exhausted all options to get rid of cancer, that his urine is the only cure to his excruciating illness. Even a King who desperately wants to live will heed the advice. These are the people flanking Babu of Loliondo’s compound trying to get rid themselves of terminal illnesses, endless pain, and misery.
Babu of Loliondo could not have emerged at a perfect time for the hopeless, when divine intervention is direly needed to save their souls. Babu has exposed our desperation, vulnerability and weakness as a society. He has exposed how useless education can be in the face of human despair. He has exposed how far we are lost in the turbulent high seas, and only going with the tide and flow. We are lost. Just like DECI which was a product of greed, ignorance and despair, Babu Liliondo’s purported magic cup is nothing but a tragic health and social a time bomb yet to explode!

I can truthfully tell you, that the famous John Mashaka does not exist. This is a character created by michuzi to boost his ratings. ReplyDeleteThe government Okaying the unregulated movement of the seriously ill from all over the world to Loliondo on belief that a pastor who is based there has a cure for all their chronic diseases is a huge mistake. Worse is that, the unregulated flow of the huge masses patients suffering from various known and unknown chronic diseases is also a potential source of new chronic diseases eruption and escalation in our society. It is very important that the government should assume its professional responsibility in the assurance of effectiveness and safety of all health care services in the country.

ReplyDeleteThe movement should be strictly controlled and on a transparent way that couldn't raise doubts to anyone.
Infrastructure should be improved which includes roads, bridges, hospitality centres and communication. We need TCRA to direct telecom companies to erect the communications towers/bosters in this area. This alone will be an automatic traffic control as no one would like to go there to spend a week or so!

mashaka is implying that Conditions in loliondo are very fertile for the arrival, sharing and eruption of new generation infections. It is when most of the victims will end up heavily dozed up with several new infections (including the deadly strain of the Babati strain Malaria of parasite. It will be a disaster of huge dimension the government won’t be able to handle. Wait and see. Huyu mnyakyusa ni aina ya wachuna ngozi adhibitiwe vingenevyo atatusababishia janga kubwa sana kwenye hii nchi.

There's no difference between people in USA using drugs to get away from their problems and Tanzanians going to Babu.
I am in USA just like you and we both know Tanzanians have problems but you failing to realize the economy in Tanzania is not all based on money like USA. There's farmers in Tanzania villages who never depend on the money or employment.
Unlike Americans, a Tanzanian in the village can get food, water and live stock right in their farm compound.In USA, you can't even plant a banana tree in your backyard or keep a cow for milk consumption.
Mashaka, you seem too eager to solve Tanzanian problems with American vision.. The problem in Tanzania is not lack of hope or people are stupid as you claimed.
Majority of Tanzanians are not educated and this makes the country not the right fit for investments..like industries. This produce lack of income from Industries..
If Tanzanians are educated in industrial skills like computer hardware, welding, iron maker, glass makers and mechanical.
Then a lot of factories will relocate to Tanzania and provide employment to the people.
Tanzania has skipped a revolution and she will pay dearly for this mistake. Her people will suffer for this error.
There's Industrial revolution which didn't happen in Tanzania. This is making us import almost everything to tooth pick.
Some of the factories in Tanzania are not even owned by Tanzanians.. so its like there's no investments.
Tanzania wants to get into Technology revolution while the country doesn't even have power supply or medical services.
Mashaka, people have hope but the support system is not there..
We need 1) Technical Schools 2) Loans to Small Businesses 3) Lower taxes in Business 4) Business support system from the Gov't

I just want to remind you that even from the time of Jesus Christ there were wonders and miracles.Up to today saints are erected, one of the conditions is perfoming miracles. Why do you call the actions of Babu of loliondo desperations? ignorance? uninformingness?.Facts maybe are the ones to look for here! are there people out there who are claiming success of babus concoction? yes there are, plenty rich and poor.Have you dug yourself deep enough to find the reality? answers(YES or NO) from those who have drunk the babus concoction? if not and I do believe it is like that, please do. ReplyDeleteFor once, I am not hesitating to jump and airing my opinions on this issue that seems to take fore news spots in Tanzania presently. What Mr.Mashaka’s elaborates in a detailed about Babu’s miraculous concoction drink is absolutely true, and here under I am explaining my personal opinions about Babu’s bizarre so called treatments on chronicle diseases.
I can say that, one thing that cause mass of people to take a trip to Loliondo for medical treatment is cultural effect; under the cultural phenomenal, you might get to a point and understand why people are flocking to Babu. To be more precisely, I can attribute the belief part of culture as a core reason that makes majority of individuals to travel to Loliondo. Culturally, Tanzanians are affected at large in their daily endeavors on natural beliefs in witchcrafts and its applications in their daily activities, for example, an ordinary Tanzanian will credits witchcraft on a very ordinary thing like tripping when he/she walks on the street.
Based on the mentality of an ordinary Tanzanian with the elaborations that Mashaka and also Mjengwa aired on their writings about philosophical works, you might come into agreement with my thought that majority of Tanzanians who are currently traveling to Loliondo are influenced most with their beliefs that miraculous concoction created by Babu Ambi will cure their diseases.
Moreover, I am very much dismayed with the fact that, there are those who travel to Babu for a reason more that their belief rather than a far reaching goal for the expense of those who are really sick and desperate for the cure of their illnesses. On this, I am very much talking about those who use the wave of Babu’s emergence as the political stage for their future goals. As I read and see on various news Medias, without a doubt, I believe there are those who went to Babu and are in the efforts of going there just to show up in order to be seen with majority Tanzanians that they are affected like any other and believe for the cure.
I will classify those whom are well educated, wealthy and in some public political or governmental posts are the one I am talking about here. According to my views, there are some individuals are politicizing Babu’s bizarre for their far reaching goals in future to the extent that they are ignoring their official responsibilities of leading and directing ordinary Tanzanians. For instance, at one time, the Health minister correctly came forward and gave out directions for Babu to stop his practices, for it should be reviewed for its effects in human life, a short while, another minister in the government came out and correct the first official directives and insisted that the government did not want to stop Babu’s practices; and in addition, the government will help Babu’ in the delivery of his unapproved medication to human beings. With this instance, I will directly accuse the later official that not only is misleading Tanzanians but also is in no doubt using the situation as a political aspect for his endeavors. To be more precisely, I read on the other day that the same official (Mr. Lukuvi) traveled to Loliondo for a cup of concoction. There are many Lukuvi’s that are among those travel to Babu not to get the cup for the cure rather for their other political goals.
To say the least, among thousands of Tanzanians who are traveling to Loliondo, there are those who are sick and desperate but also there are those whom are supposed to give out directions and leadership on this bizarre rather they are going there to score cheap political credits

Writing such a good article in english while knowing that most Tanzanians do not speak english is an arogance of its kind. ReplyDeleteThe whole thing is getting hyped by the huge numbers of people who are profiting from arranging transport, accommodation, food etc in the little village. I have already had a number of people ask to rent my car!
These "healers" come around once in a while but none has proved anything beyond the natural. Marjoe was a "healer" in the eyes of the people but he was atheist and did it only for money. Jim Jones was also a "healer" but the deranged pastor ended up killing a thousand people with arsenic. The list is of these people is endless and Mr Loliondo is no exception.
Loliondo is a Scam. it is a scam only if people are not getting healed. Here's a guarantee, when the results are out, they will show that the medicine can not work. but maybe if he prays for it first maybe it will work. but i still think that this guy is using higher powers; but not those of light. because if he truly was from God, he is supposed to preach salvation to people as a man of God so that people can acquire their on healing and avoid getting sick in the first place.

hayo ndiyo maneno wanayotaka kufahamishwa watanzania,ni kweli kuna baadhi ya waandishi habari wa magazeti nao ni wahusika wa hiyo abdakadabra ya babu ,wanaiongezea na kuipa head line kubwa habari ya Loliondo kwa sababu za kiuchumi yaani wauze magazeti au nakala zao kwa wingi,nimeandika huko nyuma kuhusu waandishi wa namna hiyo na shutuma nilizozipata zilikuwa kali sana utafikiria niliandika kuwa huyo babu akamatwe na kufungwa kwa kutapeli watu baadhi ya wanabidii walikasirishwa sana na hiyo statement ya kumuita babu mtapeli na kusema kuwa nao waandishi wanahusika katika kufanya promotion ya dawa ya babu lol,watu wengi walihamaki kwa hayo machache niliyoyaanika hapa ubaoni mpaka wengine kufikia kunipachika majina kuwa ninautafuta umaarufu bure kwa kuchangia hoja namna nilivyoandika.hiyo kurunzi au torch ni waandishi wa habari tuu ndio wanaouwezo wa kulipitisha kwa wananchi na kuweza kuwafunua macho yao ,unajua waandishi wa habari ndio wanaoliongoza taifa lolote lile lililoendelea pamoja na hii dunia nzima.Ndio maana hii leo tunayo nchi inayoitwa Bosnia and Herzigovina,kule kulikuwa na genocide kubwa sana iliyokuwa ikiendeshwa kichinichini na waserbia mpaka walipokwenda waandishi wa habari wa Europe na kuligundua hilo jambo na kuliweka wazi na hapo ndipo UN pamoja na mataifa makubwa duniani ndipo yaliposhtukia genocide hiyo dhidi ya waislam wa Bosnia,waandishi ni watu wanaoweza kufanya kazi kubwa sana kwa kuwaelimisha watu kutoka katika ujinga kama huu wa kumuamini muongopaji kama huyo babu ,wewe mwenyezi mungu akuke instractions za tiba kama hizo utakuwa wewe ni nani katika hii dunia na hata vitabu vyote vya dini visitabiri kuhusu wewe,kumbukeni hata mitume wetu wote walitabiriwa huko nyuma na walikuja tokea,je ni kwanini hiyo tiba ni lazima iwe ni loliondo tuu?kwanini mwenyezi mungu asiturahisishie kwa kumuelekeza huyo babu kuifanyia sehemu ambayo watu watafika kirahisi kama vile sehemu yeyote ile inayopita reli ya kati maana wagonjwa wengine hawana hata kipato chochote cha kuwafikisha huko Loliondo kutokana na nauli kupandishwa karibu mara hamsini ili kufika huko ,je mwenyezi mungu halioni hilo?na kwanini huyo mungu wake aiwekee masharti makubwa hiyo dawa kiasi hicho?Sasa umefika muda wa kujikwamua kutoka fikra kama hizo

Mr. John Mashaka, I respect your position on this but I am sure beyond doubt that you are not sick, otherwise you would not dare to write all this nonsense(sorry for this word as I don't seem to have other word to describe this). Ask yourself one very simple question, what have you done to change people's lives in Tanzania? or you are just waiting until people like Babu to emerge for you to comment about the overwhelming desperation in Tanzania. ReplyDeleteInteresting debate..but I have one question for Mr.Mashaka and the rest who dare to ridicule our natural medicine or herbals;what is the origin of the western medicine that you now humbly embrace?Is it not the same herbals that you are now discrediting just because they are now put into "pills"?Why don't we ridicule a lot of Chinese medicine but jumps so quick into discrediting our own?If a Chinese ship docks at our harbor,people flocks without asking or questioning the origin of the medicine.Why?It is Chinese.But now the people who are flocking to Loliondo are labeled "desperate".
ReplyDeleteTo me,Mashaka and the rest(including Mjengwa),you need to get rid of the slavery mentality.It is the poison that destroys us from generation to generation.Just because you are all foreign educated(Mjengwa=Sweden and Mashaka=US) it doesn't give you authority to question everything that is yours or from your homeland.That just goes a long way to show how uneducated you are but a bunch of "coconut brothers".
We need to rise up ladies and gentleman.Rise up to believe that we can do something that the world can look at and admire.Babu wa Loliondo may not be the case but if we don't get rid of the mentality to discredit everything African by calling it primitive and all sorts of names,we are missing an opportunity to soar and inherit the next generation pride and confidence.
On the other hand,there is a core issue of faith.If you believe,it can happen.Who are we to question other people's faith?Just because we are atheist and pagans,it doesn't make sense to try to convince everyone else to believe in what we believe.It is dictatorship of thoughts and we have to stop it now

Hundreds more were found buried under the homes of cult leaders. The mystery of their deaths - a tragedy on the scale of the 1978 Jonestown suicide and massacre in Guyana - remains unsolved. The government's failure to clear up the circumstances of their deaths and track down the cult leaders has angered many in the East African nation. "The problem is still fresh in our minds, particularly those of the survivors and those who lost dear ones,'' said Timothy Osuban, a law student in Kampala. "The most annoying thing is that the government has divorced itself from its responsibility to find out the truth.'' On March 17, 2000, more than 500 people perished in a fire after they were locked inside a makeshift church in the southwestern village of Kanungu, the headquarters of the Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments of God. In the days following the fire, police unearthed bodies of hundreds more cult followers from beneath houses owned by cult leaders. Police, who had originally put the number of dead in the Kanungu fire at 530, later revised it downward to 330. More than 800 died in all, they say, but there is no accurate count. Other researchers say as many as 1,000 perished in the fire alone.By any account, however, the scale of the Ugandan deaths rivaled the Jonestown suicide and massacre, which killed 913 Peoples Temple members. The Ugandan cult was founded in the early 1990s by renegade Roman Catholics led by Joseph Kibwetere, defrocked priest Dominic Kataribaabo and a businesswoman named Cledonia Mwerinde. The trio told their followers to sell all their belongings and wait for the end of the world, which they first predicted would come on Dec. 31, 1999, then sometime in 2000. Police issued arrest warrants for the three cult leaders and three others suspected of involvement in the deaths. But all remain at large, and a commission of inquiry set up to investigate the cult and the deaths has yet to open because officials say there is no money to pay commission members. Government spokesman and information minister Basogo Nsadhu last week denied accusations that the government of President Yoweri Museveni was ignoring the probe and insisted that funds were being sought to begin the investigation. "The matter of funds is being handled by Parliament, and I can assure you that everything will be in the open when the commission does its work,'' Nsadhu said. "So there is no case of government not being interested.'' Researchers from the Department of Religious Studies at Kampala's Makerere University warn that failure to get at the root cause of the cult and to draw up legislation against extremist religious groups will result in more cults and deaths. "Nobody believes that government has no money for the inquiry,'' said researcher Chris Tuhuirwe, who is working on a doctorate on the cult phenomenon in the East African nation. In "The Kanungu Cult Saga: Suicide, Murder or Salvation?'' Tuhuirwe and several colleagues list the names of 597 people who died in the Kanungu fire. They say that more than 1,000 may have perished in the blaze. ReplyDeleteI regreted wasting my time reading this rubbish. I realized that you are arrogant and still you are acting like a barometer to measure the intelligence and knowledge of Tanzanians. To consider yourself to be more open minded than others. If you want to know if the herbal is working or not, you better go there and assess the situation. But the stance of judging and insulting people looking for a solution to their desperated health is a maximum level of arrogance.

ReplyDeleteBottom line ni kwamba watu wanapona....tatizo wabongo mlio nje mnajifanya haya mambo ni ya ajabu na viingereza vyenu vingi vya kipuuzi.....mimi ni mmoja wapo niliyepona kisukari na pumu baada ya kupata tiba ya babu....pumu nimezaliwa nayo na kisukari nimeshateseka kwa zaidi ya miaka kumi na tano ...nimezunguka first class hospitals UK na South Africa .....naishia kupata viingereza vingi...huduma first quality,utaratibu mzuri,dawa high quality nk lakini sikupona...sasa four weeks ago nilikunywa kikombe sasa ni mzima wa afya kabisa...ninapima sukari iko normal..na pumu sina kabisa naweza hata kufanya mazoezi sasa!!!!MTANIAMBIA NINI WEHU NYIE?mtakalia kuchambua mada kwa kiingereza lakini watu wanataka kupona..cha kuzungumzia hapa ni kuboresha utaratibu wa kumfikia babu,not otherwise!!!

Madaktari wanasema wazi watu wengi waliokwenda Loliondo wamekufa kwa magonjwa yaliyowapeleka Loliondo, lakini bado watu wameziba masikio yao. Mimi bado nina hasira na majonzi kwa kuwa mgonjwa wetu hakumaliza hata wiki mbili baada ya kurudi kutoka Loliondo. Hii ni time bomb hasa ambayo imeshaanza kulipuka.

Hospitali hawa watu wameenda na wameona hawajapata tiba thats why they are out there to try out other means. I know of one cancer patient( bone marrow cancer) alisema yeye kwa maumivu anayopata kwenye mifupa yuko tayari kunywa dawa yoyote provided si sumu. Sasa leo hii ntadiriki kumlaumu mtu huyu akienda kunywa dawa kwa babu. Mtu anayekuambia kila sehemu ya mfupa inamuuma na dawa za hospitali za hampi nafuu..
Siku zote tanzania kumekuwa na waganga wa jadi ambao wamekuwa wakisema wana uwezo wa kutibu maradhi ya aina yote, lakini haya yote hayakutokea,hatukuona hizi foleni, je umejiuliza ni kwa nini? The only difference ni kwamba kwenye tiba ya babu watu wanaweka imani kwa Mungu na si ushirikina.

ReplyDeleteSo it all seams that none of the hypocrites (less this one) understands the motive behind the whole sale government backing of the unregistered magic spiced herb treatment for all chronic deseases been conducted at Loliondo by a retired pastor. The truth is that the government realized it could save huge sums of monies on medicines and health care by having the majority our low income patients getting manipulated out of going for the expensive modern mzungu medicine and health care services in favour of the cheap indigenous juju services famous in our country, especially in the south Eastern regions (Mbeya and Mpanda). Yes, and the increased revenue collection within the site region is a motivation as well for those who are not aware of the risk associated with the sick arrivals.

So now people will beleive in traditional medicine then Hospitals. Is the Prime Minister bewitched or something to make infrastructure in that area because of promoting this Babu. JK needs to think again and shut this. This is a Plant that kills animals.. Human body sustains more then Animals. Maybe the plant will start working and kill people slowly. Its a slow poison. Have faith in god... and Not faith in his people.... God has given a brain to think and eyes to see. God is great. If he wants you alive he will if he wants you dead he will decide...

Tuachane na hayo hivi serikali imeshindwa kabisa kuhudumia wananchi wake mpaka wanahamua kutaka kugharamia clinic ya mtu? Pale Dodoma kuna dispensary nyingi tu zimefungwa kwa sababu mbalimbali ikiwemo ukosefu wa choo na mazingira mengine na zilikuwa zinasaidia watu wenye maradhi madogomadogo, iweje leo wamsikilize babu? hivi watanzania wote zaidi ya milion arobain tutatibiwa na mtu mmoja? naona hapa serikali badala ya kutumia hii kama changamoto kwao kuimalisha vituo vya afya wao wanaona wamerahisishiwa kazi. Hivi kweli serikali makini inaweza kufanya mambo kama haya yakutegemea mtu mmoja? ReplyDeleteKatika hatua nyingine, Mchungaji Masapila ametangaza magonjwa mengine kadhaa ambayo yanaweza kutibiwa kwa dawa anayoitoa. Moja ya magonjwa hayo ni kuongeza au kurejesha nguvu za kiume.
Magonjwa mengine ni kama kutopata mimba kwa kina mama wajawazito... “Nimeulizwa swali hapa je, dawa hii inaweza kutibu magonjwa mengine zaidi ya kisukari, pumu, Kansa na Ukimwi? Nawaambia kunyweni kama magonjwa haya yanatoka kwa Mungu na dawa hii ni ya Mungu kwa nini yasitibike,” alisema.
“Jingine niwaambie kina baba wenye wasiwasi kwamba eti wakinywa dawa hii nguvu zao zitapungua, sasa nasema hivi ukishakunywa hii dawa, wakati unaondoka kwenda nyumbani ndiyo nguvu zitakuwa zikiongezeka na utakuwa mwanaume sawasawa,” alisema.Baada ya kutoa matamshi hayo umati wa watu uliokuwa ukimsikiliza wakati wakisubiri kunywa dawa ulilipuka kwa vicheko huku wengine wakipiga makofi na vigelegele.
Huduma za vyakula
Mchungaji Masapila pia aliwataka wenyeji wa eneo la Sonjo (vijiji vinavyozunguka Kijiji cha Samunge), kuacha kuwapandishia wageni bei za huduma mbalimbali kama za vyakula na vinywaji.
“Nawaomba msifanye ujio wa wagonjwa hawa kukuza uchumi wenu maradufu, uzeni vyakula kwa bei nafuu, kwani mkitaka faida kubwa sana Mungu atatoboa mifuko yenu na msijue fedha zenu zimepotelea wapi,” alisema.
Mchungaji huyo pia aliwataka wamiliki wa magari na madereva kutojitajirisha kwa kuongeza gharama za kubeba wagonjwa akisema fedha hizo zitapotea bila wao kujua.
Hivi sasa gharama za bidhaa na vyakula ni kubwa na kwa magari yaliyopo kwenye foleni, maji makubwa ya Kilimanjaro yanauzwa Sh4,000 na chakula ni kati ya Sh5,000 na 10,000.
Kutokana na ughali huo wa bidhaa, wengi wa wagonjwa wanaosubiri kupata tiba wamelazimika kununua vyombo na kujipikia wenyewe. Hata bei ya bidhaa za vyakula visivyopikwa pia zimepanda. Kilo moja ya mchele na unga vinauzwa Sh3,000 na maji dumu moja la lita 20 ni kati ya Sh6,000 na 10,000.

ReplyDeleteThe fun thing is that the Government knows that the staff is working and they don't want to come clean on the issue; because of the repcussion that will come with when the Gov't declares that the miracle cure works!! I think some of our waheshimiwas who have tried and see the results and others are still trickling in Loliondo its not just by coincidence!!! I congratulate the PM on the directive he gave that the concerned authorities should construct all the necessary required amenities to avoid outbreak of communicable diseases!!!

I am born and raised Tanzanian, currently living in the States. For every American i tell this story too, they seem to think that we are Backward, Barbaric and Uncivilized people. The first question they ask is WHERE IS THE GOVERNMENT? I tell them they are supporting the issue, I sound soo stupid by saying that. What bothers me the most is that people are truly dying in the world, DYING, from diseases and our government is concerned with a juju portion of water to solve all its problems. Its about time someone slapped the shit out of everyone on that line for that drink to make them realize that they need a hospital, kick out this stupid government who is encouraging stupidity. Eti, we are protecting the people, use the cars to take the people to hospital, help the ill by paying their medical bill or something than rather deploying people to protect an old man with twisted agendas in his head. Wats worst about all this situation is that people made it a joke, BABU WA LOLIONDO!!!!, Wake up and realize he is actually killing people, its no joke, people stoped going to the hospital, they stop taking their REAL MEDICINE, and end up more sick and die. LET THIS BABU BE ARRESTED AND SHAKEN UP THEN WE WILL SEE IF HE IS TELLING THE TRUTH.

ReplyDeletei agree with mashaka in the highest place BUT also in reality, those chronic diseases that babu "heals" prove to be common in the Tanzania's community at large. If you are affected with these diseases it is easier to loose hope once the medication wont work out well...so that on my side is the main factor contributing to masses flocking at kwa babu to try their luck in this "miraculous medicine". However, i doubt why it is only babu who can only give the cure and not any other person???? It is said that if you boil the roots and barks of the said tree on your own it wont work unless babu boils it and gives it to you through his special cup!! This brings doubt if he is a real man of the God I know since I think it is selfish of God to just overwork one old man in giving out the cure day and night while collecting millions of shillings in the end!! Funny thing is that the government is supportive of that. I still am not convinced on this "cure" but itz all about faith....follow your own and suffer the reactions of your actions!!
